Somatic approaches are at the heart of effective trauma therapy.
It's cutting-edge science, and it's ancient knowledge and wisdom. Many of my clients come to somatic-style counselling after exploring various healing paths, seeking something profound and transformative in their journey. They've tried the traditional talk therapy route, and are ready to commit to a deeper healing process.

Meeting Ourselves
Where We Are
Our bodies are always speaking to us, but we spend a lot of time judging ourselves. All along our nervous system has been trying to take care of us. All of this time our body has been holding our trauma, our triggers, and everything that's ever happened to us (going back generations).
Amplifying our
Resources
We already hold the keys to our wholeness. This means we have the power to access our deepest resources and our powerful, playful, creative, essential self.
Noticing & Naming
While you and I talk, I guide you to notice your body's sensations (or lack thereof). You will learn to track your physical and emotional impulses and your natural cycles of expansion and contraction. We will support your body to process and release trauma and charge of triggers through a variety of somatic exercises and techniques.
Nervous System
Regulation
Over time, we help your nervous system to regain a sense of fluidity and safety, and support your ability to have meaningful boundaries.
I will teach you what I know about the nervous system, and you'll have some lightbulbs about why you behave in certain ways.
Holding Space
This work can be challenging. You will come in contact with old material and emotions ready to be processed. I'm here to hold space and together we create the safe container required to do this deep work. You learn powerful and practical tools for self-discovery.
My Approach
My approach is conversational, straightforward, and curious. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry. I love working with caring, determined people who have a vision for themselves and the world, and I love sharing what I've learned along the way through my own journey of healing from trauma, burnout and crisis.
