My journey with somatic therapy started with my own experiences of trauma and burnout after many years in human services and frontline mental health work.
In a world that often values productivity over well-being, there’s something liberating about slowing down and truly listening.
Embodiment, metaphor, symbolism and relationship (to ourselves, our communities, our ancestors, and the earth) have been Indigenous knowledge and healing practice long before contemporary 'somatics'. By exploring our inner landscapes, we get to the root of who we really are and what we're here for.
I’ve learned (and am learning) from many incredible teachers who guide us toward real transformation. My work is learning how to embrace radical acceptance of ourselves at the same time as unlearning harmful patterns, so we can show up with love in our communities.
In my practice, I prioritize curiosity, depth, and playfulness. This is a space where you can explore your emotions and experiences without judgement.

I'm Andree, a certified Relational Somatic Therapist & Registered Therapeutic Counsellor.
Initial Free Consultation
We’ll begin with a 30 minute conversation about your current concerns, goals, and any previous experiences with therapy. This helps us establish a foundation for our work together and see if it's a mutual fit. I offer in-person somatic therapy sessions in Surrey, BC. Online somatic sessions are also available if you'd like to receive counselling from the comfort of your own home.
Learning the Somatic Therapy Approach
When you're learning the somatic approach, you're shifting paradigms and learning a new way of seeing yourself. Building a solid therapeutic relationship takes time, and nervous system work requires integration. Working together in a long-term timeframe allows for nervous system regulation, deeper exploration and integration.
Emotional Processing & Trauma Work
In your somatic therapy sessions, you will experience a range of emotions. This is deep work, and you will likely feel tired afterwards. New insights will emerge as you reconnect with your body, and you will likely find yourself confronting old material that is ready to be processed. This journey can be both challenging and transformative, and we'll walk through it together.
Integrating Inner Changes
Ultimately, you can expect to feel a greater sense of fluidity, safety, and renewed clarity. You will start to make different decisions that are aligned with your values.
